Flash Location:

Fireflies initially flashed from ground or low vegetation but over time moved up to approx. 3 feet above the ground with some eventually going up to the trees.

Male Flash Behavior:

A single quick flash given in flight or while crawling on the ground/vegetation. There did not appear to be a break in flash pattern - flashing appeared continuous every 3 seconds or so.
