Thank you for submitting this firefly observation! This firefly is in the genus Pyropyga, which are small-bodied diurnal fireflies. The most likely species is Pyropyga nigricans, but Pyropyga modesta is also found in Arizona and specimens might be needed for a definitive ID.
That is so exciting. Thank you so much! I had no idea fireflies existed in AZ until recently. Definitely makes me want to do more to preserve them.
