Observation Notes:

At 10:04, saw a single firefly flashing on the other side of the creek. It flashed for three minutes, stopping at 10:07. It resumed flashing at 10:09 for a few seconds and then stopped again. Because it was on the other side of the creek, I could not collect it or get up-close photos.

In a brushy area next to the creek at Madera Canyon, roughly 5 feet in the air. I estimated the flash pattern, interval, and duration because this was my first survey and I forgot to record that info.
