Observation Notes:

Saw a single glowworm at 9:49. It had a steady, greenish-yellow glow. It was located in the grass at 30.7072670, -104.1028035. There were a lot of brambles in the way, so I didn't get close enough to it to take photos or collect it.

  1. Interesting observation! Glow-worms on the ground like this could be the adult female of a glow-worm type firefly (Pleotomus or Microphotus), the flightless female of Photinus stellaris, or the larva of any firefly species found in the area.
