Observation Notes:

Males flashing at 3-8 ft above ground. "J-stroke" pattern observed. Began flying at dusk when adults clearly visible in fading light. Identification based upon color pattern on pronotum, presence of stigmata on lanterns, the clear margin along the fifth abdominal segment just above the two lanterns, and the T-shaped pattern on the pygidium, as shown in Faust. No information on flash pattern but physical characteristics provide confidence in identification.
