Observation Notes:

Approximately six adult male individuals observed flying and perching on grasses along the trail over a ~0.5 mile stretch. Individuals were very active, not perching for long, and flight was strong and fast. Perched individuals were observed waving their antennae around in the light breeze. Later in the evening (approximately 10:30-11pm) we searched the same area for glowing adult females but did not find any. At this point it had been raining steadily for at least an hour and may have been too wet for fireflies to be active.
