Observation Notes:
Observed on a zinnia in a recently planted small garden bed next to my house in a suburban neighborhood. Our yard is chemical-free and we are slowly introducing native plants in other areas of our yard. It’s the second firefly I’ve seen in our yard (the other was on the patio during the day a few weeks ago) but this was the first time I took a photo. Other insects we commonly find in our yard: slugs, worms, dragonflies, aphids, mosquitos.
