  1. A belated thank-you for submitting this firefly observation! This could certainly be Photinus sabulosus, based on the wide pale elytral margins, the dark scutellum, and the shape of the marking on the pronotum/head shield. However, I’m not certain of this ID without views of the underside and of the pygidium (“tail”).
