I believe this was a female, found on the ground. Observed lots of treetop flashers and big dippers in the same area, but uncertain that I spotted any Male photuris, so disregard male height zone above. Found in a field that had been recently mowed for hay, within about 20feet of a treeline.

I believe this was a female, found on the ground. She was lit up irregularly on the ground, which is how I spotted her. I observed lot sof "distress" flashes when captured with only one lantern glowing. Found in a field that had been recently mowed for hay, within about 20feet of a treeline.
