Broadleaf deciduous forest with understory of native sedges (Carex ulta) but those are mainly on opposite side of the creek from where recreation occurs. On the accessible side, the dominate herbaceous veg was clover and Johnson grass.

males started flashing in low herbaceous vegetation and stayed fairly still for a while, then starting moving higher and up and down the stream. Did not move far from the stream out into the riparian though.
