Flash Location:
Horizontal flight over grass, open areas. The flash train of this specimen was only two flashes every 6-7 secs and it did many. It was definitely a two flashes every signal. However there were many three flash fireflies (Photuris quadrifulgens ?) active at the same time. Both FF’s look very similar in the pix. Length was the same and pronotum coloration was similar. Does quadrifulgens exhibit a two flash signal?
