Flash Location:
Most flashes occurred 3-5 feet above the forest floor, in areas of less dense low-level vegetation.
Male Flash Behavior:
Males would flash multiple times in succession, while flying either parallel to the ground, or while flying in a wide upward spiral. Sometimes two fireflies would flash simultaneously, while flying in tandem. This would only happen for a few seconds, however.
