Observation Notes:

Body length of about an inch. Found while hiking. Black body. Low flying and assumedly a daytime species, as they were seen flying in broad daylight. Found by creeks surrounded by native plants. The one house out there doesn't use any pesticides or herbicides, opting for organic to allow for safer consumption of native edible plants. It was out in the woods.
