1 thought on “Observation: Photinus”

  1. A belated thank you for this firefly observation!

Based on the short legs, flat body posture, and indistinct shape of the marking on the pronotum, this is a firefly in the genus Photinus.
Based on the small size and washed-out/grayish coloration, I think it is in the Photinus marginellus/Photinus curtatus complex.

    A neat find!
