A belated thank-you for this firefly observation! There are about 18 species of flashing firefly in Oklahoma, and it is hard to make identifications without photos of the firefly up-close, but some possibilities given the location, habitat and time of year include Photuris sp., Photinus pyralis, Photinus dimissus, Photinus granulatus, and Photuris divisa.
